Tiffin Motorhomes

We are a consumer based company that rates Tiffin RV's in North America. Our rating guides feature Tiffin Class A Motorhomes .

Tiffin Motorhomes is truly a family run business. Started by Bob Tiffin in Red Bay, Alabama – population 3200 – Tiffin runs the company with his three sons, Tim, Van and Lex, all University of Alabama graduates. It wasn’t easy building an RV manufacturing company in the northwest corner of Alabama, especially when most of the industry is situated in Indiana, but Tiffin has solved this problem by constantly staying ahead of the curve with innovations in design and technology and a do-it-yourself attitude.

Once, twenty years ago, when a delayed shipment of windows caused the plant to close down, Tiffin decided right then and there that wouldn’t happen again. So he bought a local glass plant and turned it into his own window and windshield manufacturing factory. He did the same for fiberglass and for all the woodwork. Almost everything in a Tiffin Motorhome is made by the company. That is why even if you have one of the oldest models ever made, you can still find the parts you need.

RV Business
Monday, December 15, 2008

Tiffin Motorhomes has added its first diesel pusher to the “entry level” Allegro Class A motorhome line, packaging in standard amenities previously only available on the company's more expensive coaches. “It hits a key price point for a diesel pusher and fills a gap in our line,” said Jerry Williamson, national sales manager for the Red Bay, Ala., company, noting the $183,855 MSRP. The 36-foot, quad-slide coach is built standard on the 31,500-pound GVWR Freightliner XCR raised rail chassis equipped with a 6.7-liter, 340-hp Cummins ISB diesel engine. The coach also is available on Spartan chassis and Tiffin's own PowerGlide platform. Upgrades include a one-piece windshield, air brakes, sideview cameras and 7-foot ceilings while the interior is set off by solid-surface countertops, a mid-coach TV and full tile floors running the length of the coach.
